Temozolomide is an alkylating drug indicated for the treatment of adult patients with:

1.Newly diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) concomitantly with radiotherapy and then as maintenance treatment.

2.Refractory anaplastic astrocytoma patients who have experienced disease progression on a drug regimen containing nitrosourea and procarbazine.

I am fine

I was diagnosed with an anaplastic astrocytoma about 18 months ago. I had 6 weeks of radiation, then started on the generic Temozolomide. I take 300 mg for 5 days every 4 weeks. I have one cycle to go. My last 2 MRIs have been clear. So far I would say this medication is working very well. As long as I take my anti-nausea medication about 30 minutes before the Temoside, I am fine. I take it at night right before I go to bed
