Soranib (Sorafenib) is a kinase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of

1. Unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma

2. Advanced renal cell carcinoma 

3. Locally recurrent or metastatic, progressive, differentiated thyroid carcinoma refractory to radioactive iodine treatment.

 Soranib is a generic Sorafenib from Cipla which is one of the biggest pharmaceuticals company in India.

Nexavar dose

The recommended daily dose of SORANIB Tablets is 400 mg (2 x 200 mg tablets) taken twice daily without food (at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal). Treatment should continue until the patient is no longer clinically benefiting from therapy or until unacceptable toxicity occurs.

Nexavar Side Effects

The most common side effects of Nexavar include:

o low blood calcium levels in people with differentiated thyroid cancer SORAFENIB may cause fertility problems in males. This may affect your ability to father a child. Dermatologic: Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN). Hypersensitivity: Angio-oedema. Musculoskeletal: Rhabdomyolysis, osteonecrosis of the jaw Respiratory: Interstitial lung disease-like events (which may have a life-threatening or fatal outcome)
