Lenvat 4mg (lenvatinib)

Lenvat 4mg (lenvatinib 4mg) is a kinase inhibitor indicated for the following conditions:

1. Differentiated Thyroid Cancer (DTC): used as a single agent for patients with locally recurrent or metastatic, progressive, radioactive iodine-refractory DTC.

2. Renal Cell Cancer (RCC): used in combination with everolimus for patients with advanced RCC following one prior anti-angiogenic therapy.

3. Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC): used as a first-line therapy in patients with unresectable HCC.

 lenvatinib DOSAGE

• Recommended dose (DTC): 24 mg orally, once daily.
• Recommended dose (RCC): 18 mg lenvatinib + 5 mg everolimus,  orally, once daily.
• Recommended dose (HCC): 12 mg orally, once daily (for adults weighing >_60 Kg). 8 mg orally, once daily for adults weighing <60 Kg).
• Administration Instructions.
• Dose Modifications for DTC and RCC.
• In patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment, the dose is 14 mg  once daily in DTC and 10 mg once daily in RCC 

lenvatinib Side Effects：

The common side effects of lenvatinib in individuals being treated for thyroid cancer are tiredness, joint and muscle pain, weight loss, mouth sores, vomiting, stomach pain, decreased appetite, nausea, headache, rash, redness, itching, or peeling of skin on hands and feet, and hoarseness.

In individuals being treated for kidney cancer, common side effects of lenvatinib include tiredness, decreased appetite, nausea, swelling in arms and legs, stomach pain, rash, joint and muscle pain, vomiting, mouth sores, cough, trouble breathing, weight loss, and bleeding.

Additionally, lenvatinib may cause fertility problems in both males and females. If this is a concern for you, it is important to discuss it with your healthcare provider.
