Lenvatol 4mg, also known as generic lenvatinib, is a kinase inhibitor used to treat several conditions. It is indicated for the following:

1. For patients with locally recurrent or metastatic, progressive, radioactive iodine-refractory Differentiated Thyroid Cancer (DTC), Lenvatol 4mg can be used as a single agent.

2. Patients with advanced Renal Cell Cancer (RCC) who have undergone one prior anti-angiogenic therapy can be treated with Lenvatol 4mg in combination with everolimus.

3. As a first-line therapy for patients with unresectable Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC), Lenvatol 4mg can be used.

• The recommended dose for Lenvatol 4mg varies based on the condition being treated:

  • For patients with Differentiated Thyroid Cancer (DTC), the recommended dose is 24 mg orally, once daily.
  • For patients with Renal Cell Cancer (RCC), the recommended dose is 18 mg of Lenvatinib plus 5 mg of everolimus, taken orally once daily.
  • For patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC), the recommended dose is 12 mg orally, once daily for adults weighing over 60 kg, and 8 mg orally, once daily for adults weighing less than 60 kg.

  It is important to follow the administration instructions for Lenvatol 4mg as prescribed by a healthcare provider.

  For patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment, the dose should be reduced to 14 mg once daily for DTC and 10 mg once daily for RCC. Dose modifications may also be necessary based on individual patient factors and response to treatment.

Lenvatinib, used to treat thyroid and kidney cancer, may cause side effects. The most common side effects of lenvatinib in people treated for thyroid cancer include tiredness, joint and muscle pain, weight loss, mouth sores, vomiting, stomach pain, decreased appetite, nausea, headache, rash, redness, itching, or peeling of the skin on hands and feet, and hoarseness.

In people treated for kidney cancer, the most common side effects of lenvatinib include tiredness, decreased appetite, nausea, swelling in arms and legs, stomach pain, rash, joint and muscle pain, vomiting, mouth sores, cough, trouble breathing, weight loss, and bleeding.
