Ibrutix（Ibrutinib）is a kinase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of adult patients with:
1. Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) who have received at least one prior therapy. Accelerated approval was granted for this indication based on overall response rate. Continued approval for this indication may be contingent upon verification and description of clinical benefit in a confirmatory trial.
2. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)/Small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) (1.2).
3. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)/Small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) with 17p deletion
4. Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia (WM)
5. Marginal zone lymphoma (MZL) who require systemic therapy and have received at least one prior anti-CD20-based therapy. Accelerated approval was granted for this indication based on overall response rate. Continued approval for this indication may be contingent upon verification and description of clinical benefit in a confirmatory trial.
6. Chronic graft versus host disease (cGVHD) after failure of one or more lines of systemic therapy
Ibrutinib dose
1.MCL and MZL: 560 mg taken orally once daily (four 140 mg capsules once daily)
2.CLL/SLL, WM, and cGVHD: 420 mg taken orally once daily (three 140 mg capsules once daily).
Capsules should be taken orally with a glass of water. Do not open, break, or chew the capsules
Ibrutinib side effects
The most common side effects of Ibrutinib in adults with B-cell malignancies (MCL, CLL/SLL, WM and MZL)
include:
o diarrhea o muscle and bone pain o rash o bruising o nausea o tiredness o fever
The most common side effects of Ibrutinib in adults with cGVHD include:
o tiredness o bruising o diarrhea o mouth sores (stomatitis) o muscle spasms o nausea o pneumonia
Diarrhea is a common side effect in people who take Ibrutinib. Drink plenty of fluids during treatment with Ibrutinib to help reduce your risk of losing too much fluid (dehydration) due to diarrhea. Tell your healthcare provider if you have diarrhea that does not go away.
These are not all the possible side effects of Ibrutinib.

No side affects.
I am a female going on 59 years old. I was first diagnosed with CLL in 2015, when my primary doctor noticed a rise in my WBC. I started seeing my present Oncologist in November of 2016. At one of my visits in 2017 he informed me that my WBC had reached 295,000. When I asked him if there was an alternative to chemo, that is when he put me on Imbruvica (3 pills a a day) -that was in August of 2015. But it is too much expensive. Now I change to taking the same dosage of the generic Imbruvica and my WBC is at 10,000. My visits to my doctor are now six months apart. No side affects.
