common side effects of venetoclax
Tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) is a significant concern when taking Venetoclax, as it can arise from the rapid breakdown of cancer cells. TLS has the potential to cause kidney failure, necessitating dialysis treatment, and can even be life-threatening. Prior to initiating Venetoclax, your healthcare provider will conduct tests to evaluate your risk of developing TLS. To mitigate this risk, you will receive additional medications before and during treatment with Venetoclax. Intravenous (IV) fluids may also be administered. Throughout your treatment, your healthcare provider will regularly monitor your blood for signs of TLS. It is crucial to attend all scheduled appointments for blood tests. If you experience any symptoms of TLS during Venetoclax treatment, promptly inform your healthcare provider. Symptoms to be aware of include fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, confusion, shortness of breath, seizures, irregular heartbeat, dark or cloudy urine, unusual tiredness, and muscle or joint pain.
To help reduce the risk of TLS, it is important to consume an ample amount of water during Venetoclax treatment. Aim to drink 6 to 8 glasses (approximately 56 ounces in total) of water daily, starting two days before your first dose, on the day of your initial Venetoclax dose, and whenever your dosage is increased. Your healthcare provider may adjust your treatment plan by delaying, decreasing your dose, or discontinuing Venetoclax if you experience side effects. If you restart Venetoclax after a break of one week or longer, your healthcare provider may reassess your TLS risk and modify your dosage accordingly.

Venetoclax generic india
Venclexta has proven to be a remarkable treatment for me. After my previous medication, Ibrutinib, ceased to be effective and my blood counts started to rise, my healthcare provider switched me to Venclexta along with a 6-month infusion cycle of Rituximab. I have successfully completed that cycle and am now back to regular 3-month follow-up appointments with my doctor. Since starting Venclexta, my blood counts have consistently returned to normal levels and have remained that way. This medication has truly made a significant positive impact on my health.
